1. Go to File → Make a Copy to save the spreadsheet to your own Google Drive.
2. Allow any permissions asked by the sheet, they are necessary for the scripts to run properly and to automatically update the spreadsheet.
3. [Optional] You can customize the application statuses in the Customization
sheet. Note: Renaming the default statuses may break certain automations, so it’s generally best to leave them as-is.
4. [Optional] Adjust the follow-up schedule in the Customization
sheet to suit your preferences.
5. Delete all the sample data rows from the sheet and run Tracker Options → Clean Deleted Applications to begin fresh.
6. Start adding job entries and updating their statuses as you move through your applications. The first time you mark a job as Applied, the date will be automatically recorded.
7. Based on the follow-up schedule you've set, any active applications that require follow-up will appear in the Followups
sheet. This updates automatically when you open or edit the spreadsheet. You can also refresh the list manually via Tracker Options → Update Followups.
8. Once your job search is complete, you can clear all entries from the Tracker
sheet. Then run Tracker Options → Clean Deleted Applications to reset the data and prepare for your next search. An auto-cleanup happens every week as well.
